The weather in the DC area this weekend looks to be picture perfect (except for a small chance of showers late in the day on Saturday...) So it's a perfect time to sip pink. Lodi Vineyards produces three wines under the Incognito line--Viognier, rouge and pink. I sampled the pink a few nights ago. It has a super vivid watermelon/pomegranate color, with watermelon on the nose and ripe cherry on the finish. Great for a picnic, with some crusty bread, hard cheese and salumi (soppressata is my personal fave...)
